My Life

Story

Born and bred in Brooklyn, NY to Caribbean parents, I understand intimately the intersections among race, class, gender and schooling in a unique way.

Today, I work with educators and corporate professionals through my online coaching business, Self Love Life 101, to manifest clients' concepts and ideas through a radical self-care and DEI-centered framework.

Courageous Conversation Protocols: This training/workshop includes creating spaces for courageous conversations in the workplace rooted in identity politics. Participants will learn about and actively implement the four agreements for incorporating courageous conversation protocols to create a more collaborative and equity-aligned work culture.

Implementing Social Justice Education Practices: This training/workshop will help participants identify a social justice education framework that is a three pronged approach: 1) Radical self-care teaching/learning practices 2) Equitable and heart-based leadership 3) Academic rigor based on critical thinking skills.

Unconscious and Implicit Bias: This training/workshop includes identifying examples of unconscious and implicit bias and how it shows up in the workplace. Participants will engage in group activities that help reveal how each of us have biases, while also receiving resources to unlearn their own biases.
